  • 20 Food Exchange Guides for people with diabetes to manage their weight
  • 2 HIV OraQuick test kits
  • Family Support Group with a trained facilitator for people with Leukemia or Lymphoma and their families

$100 Provides

  • Clean air educational curriculum and materials for teachers and students
  • Prescription medications for 30 days when there are no other sources for payment
  • 2 hours of emotional support counseling for someone in need

$200 Provides

  • A walker with a seat for someone who struggles with walking
  • Complete moving services and relocation for an HIV+ family at risk of becoming homeless.
  • 2 Better Breathers Club support group meetings for adults suffering from chronic lung disease.

$500 Provides

  • One surgery for child with a deformity
  • One week of Surf Camp for Children with Autism  
  • Por Tu Familia module to be taught to latinos at risk for getting diabetes
  • Lung Helpline advice from nurses and respiratory therapists, 50 toll-free calls

Volunteers needed for Challenge Walk MS – September 23-25, 2011.  This 3-day, 50-mile walk is a personal journey of spirit and stamina, and makes an important difference in the lives of people affected by multiple sclerosis. You can volunteer one, two, or all three days supporting over 300 walkers on their journey from Carlsbad to San Diego. Many volunteer opportunities are available for groups as well as individuals.
